Sacha Baron Cohen's Brüno has debuted at the top of the Us box office, taking in $$30.4 million over the weekend. The controversial comedy was shown in 2,756 theatres nationwide and outdid its predecessor Borat, which grossed $$26.5 million in its opening weekend in 2006. Ice Age 3 has dropped one slot to number two with $$28.5 million, followed by Transformers 2 at number three with $$24.2 million added to its blockbuster gross.
